when carrying out adjustments
The EM 300 chair has two quick-release
belts to immobilise the patient during tran-
sport.
One belt is located on the back of the
seat, to block the chest zone and the se-
cond one is located on the seat itself to
block the legs.
The quick-release belt is composed of
two parts: a xed part (female) and an
adjustable part (male) equipped with two
hooks (Figure G).
Release the belts as illustrated in Figure
E-F-G.
The fast-release procedure must be car-
ried out by applying a pressure on the hoo-
ks as illustrated in Figure F and by pulling
outwards the two parts.
Release the belts by letting the excee-
ding part slide on the hook.
Join the two parts until you hear the
typical fastening sound (click).
Pull the free part of the belt until com-
plete and correct immobilisation of the
patient.

To carry out this operation you must:

lift the pawl (6) with one hand;
•
extract the front transport lever
(7) with the other hand;
•
release the pawl and move the
transport lever slightly back or forth
until the locking device (6) snaps shut
(click).

WARNING! The chair must be operated
by two average height persons in
good physical conditions. In particular
operators must possess sufficient
strength in their back, arms and legs
to lift, pull and push in addition to
good physical balance, re exes and
muscular co-ordination.
WARNING! When moving the chair
while the patient is sitting on it, always
insert the locking pawls and fasten the
safety belts.
To move the chair on smooth surfaces:
•
