The EM 300 folding chair, made of
aluminium, has been realised taking into
consideration the needs of patients and rst
aid operators.
It is an essential device for carrying
patients to dif cult locations which the
stretcher cannot reach, such as stairs, corri-
dors and lifts.
The chair is light and easy to handle
but solid; it is equipped with four levers
to improve transport in any situation and
two xed wheels for movement on smooth
grounds.
An automatic safety locking allows to
open and close the chair in order to obtain
extremely reduced overall dimensions
when folded.
The chair is covered with an orange-co-
loured PVC sheet, water-proof and easy to
clean, equipped with a pocket at the back
of the seat.
The chair has two fast-release belts to
immobilise the patient.
Reference regulations
The folding chair has been designed
and built by "MORETTI" according to the
safety rules established by the EEC/93/42
directive dated 14.06.93 (class I) concer-
ning medical equipment.
All the materials used have dimensions
suitable to work properly within the limits
reported in the technical speci cations;
they are re-proof, they do not release any
toxic or polluting substances and they are
protected to obtain high resistance to wear
and corrosion.

"MORETTI" is the only authorised
agent for the management, assstance servi-
ce and repair of the "MORETTI" products.
If you need to order spare parts, take note
of the Product Type, the Serial Number and
the Part Number of the folding chair. This
will allow "MORETTI" to give you faster
and better quality assistance.

ce and service of these products.
SAFETY
General rules
The chairs are designed to allow the
movement of a patient:
through the wheels and the levers of the
chair;
in an ambulance.
WARNING! The vehicle must be
equipped with a tested locking
system in order to prevent accidental
displacement of the stretcher during
handling
Operators must read this manual care-
fully, follow the instructions and familia-
rise with the correct operating and mainte-
nance procedures of the chair.
The chair can be operated by two
average height persons in good physical
conditions. In particular operators must
possess suf cient strength in their back,
arms and legs to lift, pull and push in addi-
tion to good physical balance, re exes and
muscular co-ordination. Unusual circum-
stances or excessive weight of the patient
can require additional personnel to ensure
comfort and safety to the patient.
Always tell the patient when you adjust
the chair.
Never leave the chair unattended if a
patient is sitting on it.
Always use safety belts.
Improper use or maintenance can be
harmful to people or objects. Always use
and maintain the chair as prescribed by
this manual. Use only "MORETTI" spare
parts and service.
Keep this manual for reference and to
support personnel training. Transfer it to-
gether with the product if you sell or give
the product to new users.
