TRAILING COUPLING
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. Škoda Auto recommends the fitting to
be carried out by its contract partners.
Important
The additional installation of the trailing coupling presents higher demands upon the
cooling system of the vehicle. Therefore, it is necessary to replace a part of the cooling
system, according to the information kept by the service technicians in authorised ser-
vice centres of Škoda Auto.
The trailing coupling can also be mounted in combination with the spoiler of the rear
bumper FAA 610 002.
The trailing coupling is manufactured according to the approved documentation, and it
complies with the homologation 55R-01 55435 E8 and EEC e1* 94/20* 1497* 00.

Technical parameters

The design of the trailing coupling meets all the Czech and international regulations.
The coupling has passed the strength tests in compliance with the European Directives
EEC 55.01 and 94/20/EC. The trailing arm is fitted with a ball journal of a 50 mm diameter, in
compliance with ISO 3853.
The weights of both a braked or an unbraked trailer must respect the limits indicated in
the Technical Certificate of the vehicle.
The trailing coupling has been designed for linking with:
- a trailer with brakes, up to the maximum weight of 2100 kg,
- a trailer without brakes, up to the maximum weight of 750 kg.
Max. vertical static load upon the ball journal - 75 kg.

The total weight of the trailing coupling - 19 kg.
The electric installation for the trailing coupling is not included in the scope of the deli-
very, and it must be ordered separately from the assortment Škoda Original Accessories
under the ordering No. EEA 600 001 EL4.
For the installation, orifices must be cut out in the bottom side of the rear bumper.
