Overview and function
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to flying components!
► When installing the clutch, make sure that the direction of rotation corresponds with
the device specifications. Operating the clutch in the wrong direction of rotation
may lead to the clutch blocking
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to rotating components!
► Only enter the machine area once the rotating parts have stopped moving!
NOTE!
Risk of material damage as a result of exessive clutch slippage!
► Avoid slipping the clutch for more than 10 s.
2.6.1 Radial pin clutch
2.6.2 Shear bolt clutch
2.6.3 Cam-type / key-type cut out clutches
Radial pin clutches cut off the transmission of the power
output in the event that the set torque is exceeded. When
activating the radial pin clutch (ratcheting noise), switch off
the PTO immediately. Observe the maintenance notes for
radial pin clutches (see Chapter 4.3 on page 43).
Shear bolt clutches destroy the shear bolt in the event that
the set torque is exceeded and interrupts the transmission of
the power output. The shear bolt may only be replaced using
bolts with the same dimensions (observe the thread length)
and strength class. Observe the maintenance notes for
shear bolt clutches (see Chapter 4.3 on page 43).
Cam-type / key-type cut out clutches cut off the transmis-
sion of the power output in the event that the set torque is
exceeded. By switching off the PTO or reducing the speed,
the clutch switches back on automatically (torque builds up
again). Observe the maintenance notes for cam-type and
key-type cut out clutches (see Chapter 4.3 on page 43).
