1.3
Intended use
The PTO drive shaft is designed to exclusively transfer power output between the drive unit or tractor
and the driven machine. To ensure safe operation, the values specifi ed in the chapter on power output
data (see page 31) must not be exceeded.
1.4
Foreseeable misuse
Any use which goes beyond the intended use is deemed as misuse and may lead to serious hazards.
The following activities in particular are not permitted:
•
The use of the PTO drive shaft without the intended personal protective equipment.
•
A manual increase of the clutch torque.
•
Incorrectly attaching the driven machine.
•
Exceeding the rated speed during operation (540 RPM, 1000 or 1300 RPM).
•
Operation with insuffi cient overlap of the PTO drive shaft profi les.
•
The use of PTO extensions / adapters.
•
The use of unauthorised components during service.
•
Non-compliance with the maintenance intervals.
•
Incorrectly attaching the PTO drive shaft. (Tractor-end clutch)
