The Dräger X-plore
8000 protective welding visor with ADF 5–13 is designed
as both a facepiece and eye and face protector. The protective welding visor
protects its wearer from sparks and splashes as well as from harmful light rays
that occur during welding.
3.6
Intended use
The protective welding visor is designed for use with the powered air purifying
respirators from the Dräger X-plore
®
apparatus Dräger X-plore
9300. In the USA the Dräger X-plore
protective welding visor is only permitted to be used with Dräger X-plore
powered air purifying respirators.

3.7
Limitations on use
The protective effect can be impaired by the following factors:
High wind velocities and strong crosswind
Earpieces or beards under the face cuff
The ADF is not indestructible. It does not protect its wearer from danger
from heavy impact, e.g. from chipped grinding discs and explosive bodies or
from corrosive fluids.
The protective welding visor is not suitable for work performed above head
height, laser welding or laser cutting work.

instructions for use of the respirators mentioned in 3.6 Intended use.
