NOTE: This tool is shipped completely assembled. No assembly time or tools are
required.
ANTI-SPLINTER BASE INSERT INSTALLATION
REMOVE THE BATTERY.
Use the anti-splinter base insert to reduce
chipping and splintering of the top fibers
of plywood, paneling, and other splinter-
prone materials. You can cut either side of
the workpiece with this insert.
Install the insert as shown in Fig. 3
NOTE: When using the anti-splinter insert, set the base to its forward-most position

ANTI-MAR PLASTIC SUB-BASE INSTALLATION
REMOVE THE BATTERY.
The anti-mar plastic sub-base prevents
scratching, gouging, or otherwise marring
the surface of a finished workpiece.
To install the plastic sub-base, remove
the six screws (B) Fig. 4 from the bottom
of the base. Remove the metal sub-base,
place the plastic sub-base on the saw,
and reinstall the six screws. Save the metal
sub-base for reuse.
