The stated vibration level and noise emission
value represent the main applications of the
power tool. However, if the power tool is used for
other applications, with different application tools
or is poorly maintained, the vibration level and
noise emission value may differ. This may signific-
antly increase the vibration and noise emissions
over the total working period.
To estimate vibration and noise emissions accur-
ately, the times when the tool is switched off or
when it is running but not actually being used
should also be taken into account. This may signi-
ficantly reduce vibration and noise emissions over
the total working period.
Implement additional safety measures to protect
the operator from the effects of vibration, such as
servicing the power tool and application tools,
keeping their hands warm, and organising work-
flows correctly.
Fitting
English
Remove the battery from the power tool be-
u
fore carrying out work on the power tool (e.g.
maintenance, changing tool, etc.). The bat-
tery should also be removed for transport and
storage. There is risk of injury from unintention-
ally pressing the on/off switch.
Battery Charging
English
Use only the chargers listed in the technical
u
data. Only these chargers are matched to the
lithium-ion battery of your power tool.
Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To
ensure full battery capacity, fully charge the bat-
tery in the charger before using your power tool
for the first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time
without reducing its service life. Interrupting the
charging process does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep
discharge by the "Electronic Cell Protection
(ECP)". When the battery is discharged, the power
tool is switched off by means of a protective cir-
cuit: The application tool no longer rotates.
Do not continue to press the On/Off switch
u
after the power tool has automatically
switched off. The battery can be damaged.
Follow the instructions on correct disposal.
Removing the Battery
To remove the battery (1), press the release but-
ton (2) and pull the battery upwards and out of the
power tool. Do not use force to do this.

Original router bits from the extensive range of
Berner accessories are available from your spe-
cialist dealer.
Changing the collet (see figures A–B)
Depending on the router bit used, you may have
to change the cap nut with the collet (9) before fit-
ting the router bit.
If the right collet for your router bit is already fit-
ted, please follow the work steps in the following
section.
The collet (15) must sit in the cap nut with a small
amount of play. The cap nut (9) must be easy to
fit. If the cap nut or collet is damaged, replace it
immediately.
Pull out the spindle locking lever (7) up to the
marking arrow (6) on the housing. If necessary,
turn the motor spindle manually until it is locked
in place. Six positions offset by 60° are possible.
Unscrew the cap nut (9) anticlockwise using the
open-ended spanner (18).
If required, clean all the parts you want to fit with
a soft brush or by blowing them clean with com-
pressed air before assembling them.
Place the new cap nut on the tool holder (16).
Loosely tighten the cap nut.
Slide the spindle locking lever (7) back into the
housing.

Wearing protective gloves while fitting and
changing router bits is recommended.
Do not, under any circumstances, tighten the
collet with the tightening nut until a router bit
has been fitted. The collet may otherwise be-
come damaged.
