Wall bracket and floor stand (accessory):
The floor stand can be adjusted steplessly in height.
The upper part of the stand must only be raised until
the red mark on the inner tube. Both are supplied co-
balt blue.
Electrical installation:
The CVL's control is connected to L, N and ground via
the power cable.
Potential equalization:
To prevent static build up of components, and reduce
the possibility of static discharge when the CVL is
touched, it is important, that the CVL is properly con-
nected to ground. Grounding is done by connecting the
screw terminal at the bottom valve and system ground.
When planning the complete system, it should be de-
termined whether any emergency stop is required, see
section "Startup". If this is selected, the general / lo-
cal requirements for such a contact must be met. The
emergency stop must disconnect the compressed air
supply, and vent the cylinders, as this is the only way to
6
open both cylinders.
All local factory inspectorate regulations must also be
complied with.
Start/stop and reset contacts:
The CVL can be started and stopped elsewhere from
the control, in case a start/stop switch is mounted else-
where.
In case the CVL is filling a container, a reset contact
can be fitted. Hereby, the CVL can be restarted after
the container is emptied.
See the diagram at the back of the user manual.
Starting and stopping the blower:
The CVL's control unit can start and stop the blower,
see diagram D (transport to external container with lev-
el sensor) at the back of the user manual. This function
ensures, that the blower is running for 10 sec. after the
CVL has stopped, and the blower starts 10 sec. before
the CVL starts.
Level sensor:
The sensor is connected to the CVL control via the sup-
plied cable, see the according diagrams at the back of
the user manual.
Startup:
Adjustment of the parameters in the control unit can
be done, to ensure optimal integration of the complete
transport system, see the diagrams at the end of this
user manual.
During adjustment, it is advisable to pay particular at-
tention to the parameters in the control unit, to ensure
that the air cylinders´ movement suits the flow of com-
ponents.
NB - It is important that the CVL is not overfilled, in
case it is operating without level sensor.
Before starting, check the following:
•
that there are no foreign objects in the unit, the as-
sociated piping system or any suction hose
•
that the compressed air supply is within the speci-
fied values
•
that all connections to the control unit are properly
executed
•
that all parts are securely attached, including pipes
and any suction hose
•
that all connections on the pipeline are personal
safety correctly made, see if necessary section
