ASSEMBLY
INSTALLING SIDE WATER TRAY EXTENSION
See Figure 31.
From the right side of the saw, slide the second (or side)
water tray extension into the slots on the frame and sliding
table extension.
ADJUSTING THE DROP FENCE
See Figure 32.
The drop fence can be lowered when using the rip fence or
raised to accommodate the miter guide.
CAUTION:
Always secure the sliding table in its front, locked
position before lowering the drop fence. Failure to
do so could create a pinch hazard between the
drop fence and the frame support.
To lower the drop fence to use the rip fence:
Unlock the levers as shown.
Release the drop fence by pulling outward.
Fully lower the drop fence and push back toward the saw
table to set in position.
Relock the levers to hold firmly in place.
To raise the drop fence to use the miter guide:
Unlock the levers as shown.
Release the drop fence by pulling outward.
Fully raise the drop fence and push back toward the saw
table to set in position.
Relock the levers to hold firmly in place.
NOTE: The drop fence will only lock in the fully raised or
fully lowered position. Do not attempt to lock the levers if
the drop fence is not in one of these positions.
INSTALLING THE RIP FENCE
See Figure 33.
The rip fence can be used from either the left or the right
side of the cutting wheel.
NOTE: The rip fence cannot be installed until the drop fence
is in the lowered position.
Lower the adjustable drop fence.
Loosen the rip fence by lifting the locking handle.
Hook the end of the rip fence onto the saw table as shown
and lower the other end over the drop fence.
Check for smooth gliding action.
Position the rip fence the desired distance from the cut-
ting wheel.
Lock the rip fence securely to the table by pushing the
