Prevent any unintentional switch-on. When handling or carrying the tool, make sure that the ON/OFF switch (9) is
off (OFF position) and the battery pack (21) removed.
Remove any adjusting key before turning on the tool
The chain may create sparks when touching hard materials while working. Sparks may cause fires or explosions
when working in potentially explosive environments.
2.3.2

Pre and post work warnings

When the tool is not used for pruning, switch it off with the ON/OFF button (9) to avoid unnecessary battery con-
sumption.
Always check that the safety and protection devices are working properly.
Carry the tool with the bar (2) facing backwards, the bar cover (20) in place and the battery pack (21) removed.
To sharpen and service the chain (1), follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Remove the battery pack before carrying out any adjustments or routine and extraordinary maintenance.
Use the tool only with the accessories indicated by the Manufacturer.
Before any routine maintenance operations, read the use and maintenance manual carefully. For any maintenance
work that is not referred to in this manual, please contact an Authorised Service Centre.
Store this manual carefully and always read it before using the tool.
Do not touch the chain (1) or carry out maintenance work while the motor is on.
Keep all the stickers with the safety indications in perfect conditions.
Do not use petrol, thinners or any aggressive products to clean the tool.
2.4

Maintenance warnings

CAUTION!
Before performing any maintenance operations or mechanical adjustments on the tool, put on heavy-duty work
shoes, protective gloves and goggles.
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual
qualifications as defined by the employer.
Extraordinary maintenance work (e.g. dismantling the gearbox or the control electronics) or repairs must be per-
formed by a mechanical or electric/electronic maintenance technician.
Before performing any mechanical adjustment or maintenance work on the tool, disconnect the battery pack.
Unauthorised personnel must keep at least 2 metres away from the tool during maintenance or repair operations.
Only qualified maintenance engineers may disable the safety devices (if any) when extraordinary maintenance is
to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the tool. The safety devices should be re-
activated as soon as maintenance work has been completed.
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at the Manufacturer's Authorised
Service Centres.
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the tool can be started again only if duly authorised by a me-
chanical maintenance technician, who must make sure that:

work has been completed;
-
the equipment works perfectly;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the equipment.
