CHANGING THE GUN'S EARTHING RODS
Removing the rods
• Unscrew the two front-panel screws and release the cover slightly towards the front
of the gun.
• Slightly loosen the two rod-clamping screws.
• Remove the rods by pulling them out.
Replacing the rods
• Insert the rods into their slots.
• Adjust the length of the rods between their ends and their base according to the type
of parts being welded.
Welding attachment
Threaded studs, insulation nails, pulling
rings
• Tighten the two rod-holding screws.
• Replace the cover.
• Tighten the front-panel screws.
Note: It is recommended to remove the electrode holder for this operation by loosening
the locking ring.
CHANGING THE ELECTRODE HOLDER
Fitting a holding ring
• Position the electrode holder in the body of the gun.
• Screw on the locking ring and check that the holding ring cannot move.
Removing an electrode holder
• If necessary, remove the earthing rods' pads and cover.
• Unscrew and release the locking ring with the holding ring or threaded-stud
holder.
The locking ring must be tightened by hand. Clamps must not be used.
