Operating manual
TRANSPORTING AND MOVING THE WELDING POWER SOURCE
The source of the welding current is equipped with a top handle enabling it to be carried by hand. Be
careful not to underestimate its weight. Do not use the handle to hang the device off the ground.
Do not use the cables or torch to move the welding machine's power source. It must be transported in
an upright position.
Do not pass the welding machine's power source over people or objects.
Never lift a gas cylinder and the welding machine's power source at the same time. They have different
transportation requirements.
SETTING UP THE EQUIPMENT
• Place the source of the welding current on a surface with a maximum inclination of 10°.
• Provide enough space to ventilate the source of the welding current and to access the controls.
• Do not use in an environment with conductive metal dust.
• Power, extension and welding cables should be fully unwound to avoid overheating.
• The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage to persons or objects caused by the improper or dangerous
use of this equipment.
• The source of the welding current must be protected from heavy rain and must not be exposed to direct sunlight.
• The equipment has an IP21 protection rating, meaning:
-
protected against solid objects over >12.5 mm
-
protected against vertically falling drops of water
• Power, extension and welding cables should be fully unwound to avoid overheating.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage to persons and objects caused by improper or
dangerous use of this equipment.
MAINTENANCE / ADVICE
Those using this machine must have received adequate training in using the machine to get the most out of
it and in carrying out the work according to the user manual's instructions (e.g., panel beater training).
• Check that the manufacturer has authorised the welding process to be used before any repairs are made to
a vehicle.
• The welding machine's maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by the manufacturer. Any
third-party interventions to this welding equipment will void the warranty conditions. The manufacturer
assumes no responsibility for any incident or accident that occurs after this third-party intervention.
• Switch off the power supply by disconnecting the plug and wait for a further two minutes before carrying
out any work on the equipment. The voltages and currents inside the appliance are high and dangerous.
• All welding tools are subject to deterioration during use. Keep these tools clean so that the machine can
perform at its best.
• Before using the gun, check the condition of the different tools (star, single point electrode, carbon
electrode, ...) and clean them if necessary or replace them if they seem to be in bad condition.
• Regularly remove the cover and blow out the dust. Take the opportunity to have the electrical connections
checked with an insulated tool by qualified personnel.
• Regularly check the condition of the power cord and the welding circuit harness. If signs of damage are
apparent, replace them by the manufacturer, his service department or a similarly qualified person, to avoid
any danger.
• Leave the welding power source vents free for air intake and exhaust.
• Prior to using the gun, check the condition of the different tools (star, single sided electrode, carbon
electrode...) and clean or replace if required.
• Remove regularly the casing and any excess of dust. Take this opportunity to have the electrical
connections checked by a qualified person, with an insulated tool.
• Regularly review the condition of the power cable and welding connection cables. In case of visible signs of
damage, organise for them to be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
• Ensure the vents of the device are not blocked to allow adequate air circulation.
