4 I nstallation i nstructions
Many b oats c ome e quipped w ith a s pecial c ompartment f or t he r efrigerator. I sotherm C ruise r efrigerators c omply
with t hese " standard d imensions". T he r efrigerator m ust a lways b e i n a h orizontal p osition, w ith t he c ompressor's
rubber f eet a t t he b ottom. T he c ompressor i s c apable o f f unctioning a t a ngles o f u p t o 3 0°, o r e ven g reater f or b rief
periods o f t ime. I f t he a ngle i s t oo g reat, t he c ompressor w ill t urn o ff a nd w ill r estart o nce t he t ilt h as d ecreased.
In t he C R 4 2 m odel, t he c ompressor i s m ounted o n a r emovable c orner s helf a nd c omes s upplied w ith e xtra t ubing
made f rom a p articularly f lexible m aterial, s o i t c an b e p ositioned u p t o n early 1 .5 m f rom t he r efrigerator. T he
tubing m ust b e c arefully a rranged s o t hat i t d oes n ot g et p inched o r b roken a t t he c urves. D o n ot i nstall t he
refrigerator n ear h eat s ources a nd a void e xposing i t t o d irect s unlight.
Install t he r efrigerator i n a d ry p lace t hat's s heltered a gainst w ater s pray.
Do n ot i nstall t he u nit n ear o pen f lames o r o ther f orms o f h eat.
Mounting r ails a re a vailable a s a n a ccessory i n o rder t o s implify t he r efrigerator's i nstallation ( for m odels t hat d on't
come s upplied w ith a s tandard m ounting r ack). T he r efrigerator m ust b e r esting u pon i ts r ubber s upport f eet, a nd
must b e f ixed i n p lace b y t he f rame o r t he m ounting r ails.
The C R 4 9 a nd C R 6 5 m odels c ome e quipped w ith a s tandard m ounting f rame w ith t hree s ides. T he o ther m odels
come e quipped w ith m ounting r ails ( which a re t o b e s crewed o n t o e ach s ide o f t he r efrigerator). I f i t i s n ot p ossible
to u se t he m ounting r ails, s ecure t he r efrigerator i n s uch a w ay s o t hat i t w ill n ot t ip/slide f orward w hen t he d oor i s
opened a nd i n t he c ase o f r ough s eas.
The C R I NOX v ersion r efrigerators c an b e i nstalled t he s ame m anner, a nd c ome e quipped w ith a f rame f or f lush
installation.
For s imple a nd e ffective i nstallation, t he E legance m odels c an b e s ecured t o t heir l odgings u sing t he 4 p re-­‐drilled
fastening p oints i nside t he c ompartment, w hich c annot b e s een f rom t he o utside.
Where t he m ounting f lange i s n ot r equired, t he a ppliance s hould b e a nchored b y a t l east 2 f astening p oints, i n
accordance w ith t he p rovisions o f t he E N 6 0335-­‐2-­‐24 s tandard.
In o rder t o a void t he p otential r isks a ssociated w ith t he u nit's i nstability, i t s hould a lways b e a nchored a s i ndicated
in t he i nstructions.
The a ppliance m ust b e c onnected v ia i ts p ower c ord t o a n e lectrical s ystem w ith t he c haracteristics i ndicated o n t he
data p late.
The e lectrical p lug m ust b e a ccessible a fter i nstallation. T he a ppliance m ust a lways b e e nclosed a nd n ot a ccessible
without t he u se o f a t ool. T he w alls a nd c eiling o f t he c asing m ust b e m ade f rom a m aterial t hat's r esistant t o t he

creating v entilation o penings i n a ppropriate l ocations: o ne n ear t he c ompressor a t t he b ase o f t he w all, a nd t he
other o pposite t o t he f irst i n t he u pper p ortion o f t he w all o r c eiling. T he h oles m ust b e p rotected b y a ppropriate
grilles.
