8. Blade Assembly.
Time Saver: Washers for blade screws can be set
on each blade screw prior to installing blades.
Locate 15 blade attachment screws and washers
in hardware pack. Hold blade arm up to blade
and align holes. Insert 3 blade attachment
screws (along with washers) with fingers first
and then tighten screws securely with a Phillips
screwdriver. Repeat for the remaining blades.
Remove blade arm screws and lock washers
from underside of motor. If plastic motor locks
are installed with blade arm screws, discard
plastic motor locks (save blade arm screws and
lock washers to secure blade arms). Align blade
arm holes with motor screw holes and attach
blade arm with lock washers and blade arm
screws. Before securing screws permanently,
repeat with remaining blade arms. Securely
tighten all screws.
Note: Tighten blade arm screws twice a year.
9. Light Kit Assembly.
Locate BLUE and WHITE wires from the motor housing
labeled "FOR LIGHt KIT CONNECTION." Remove wire
connectors from these same 2 wires--save wire connectors for
later use. Remove 1 screw from motor plate and partially
loosen the other 2 screws. Remove finial from threaded rod on
fitter. Thread wiring from light kit fitter through hole in plate at
top of fitter.
Connect WHITE wire from light kit fitter to WHITE wire from
motor housing. Connect BLACK wire from light kit fitter to
connections, use wire connectors that were previously
removed.
Align slotted holes in fitter with loosened screws in motor
plate. Twist fitter to lock. Re-insert screw that was previously
removed and securely tighten all 3 screws.
Align hole at bottom of light kit fitter with threaded rod on
fitter and secure light kit fitter with finial that was previously
removed.
Remove 4 socket rings from light kit fitter. Gently place glass
shade over one socket and re-install socket ring. Repeat for
each glass shade. Do NOT overtighten socket rings as glass may
crack or break.
Install 4 candelabra base 40 watt max. bulbs (included).
Important: When you need to replace bulbs, please allow
bulb(s) and glass shade(s) to cool down before touching them.
