Removing the dosing head
The dosing module is in its uppermost position.
1 Press the release button (1) on either side of the dosing
head holder to release the dosing head (2).
2 Simultaneously, pull the dosing head (2) up and
outwards.
5.2 Installing the sealing insert
Always install a sealing insert (1) to avoid air drafts in the
weighing chamber.
5.3 Selecting and using an ErgoClip
While dosing in vials, capsules, or tubes, specific adapters
can be used. To ensure stability and ease the alignment of
the sample vessel with the tip of the dosing head, three
ErgoClips are delivered with the Q3 dosing module.
When using sample vessels taller than 75 mm, place
directly on the weighing pan or use the ErgoClip adapter
holder (1) with an adapter. The nose on the ErgoClip
adapter holder is designed to make sure that the adapter
(and therefore the vessel opening) is centered on the
weighing pan.
When using sample vessels taller than 75 mm that are
very narrow and need more stability, use the ErgoClip
adapter stabilizer (2) with an adapter.
When using sample vessels shorter than 75 mm, use the
taller ErgoClip height extension (3). The surface of this
ErgoClip is completely flat, allowing to use vessels without adapters, for example, weighing boats.
The ErgoClips delivered with the Q3 dosing module are compatible with all XPR analytical balances with tall
draft shield. If using an XPR analytical balance with short draft shield, place your sample vessel and/or adapter
directly on the weighing pan. For more stability, use the ErgoClip vial, available separately. See Accessories.
