Functional description

Conergy IPG 40K–280K central inverters have an integrated
transformer for transmitting the energy produced and are designed
to be connected to TN grids.
The Conergy IPG 300K central inverter is an inverter without an
integrated transformer which means there is no galvanic isolation
between the solar generator and the electricity grid. As a result, the
overall system efficiency of a PV system increases by up to 2%
The Conergy IPG 300K is designed for grid connection to a
medium voltage transformer and must only be operated in IT grids.
The connection is three-phase with 270 V from the medium voltage
transformer.
The interlinked output voltage is 270 V (156 V phase against N). A
transformer with galvanic isolation is therefore required to connect
the inverter to the electricity grid. A transformer must be provided
for each Conergy IPG 300K, or the transformer must have a
galvanically isolated winding for each device. Combining the
Conergy IPG 300K with the other Conergy IPG series devices is
only then possible if appropriate transformers are used. Except for
the transformer already mentioned, design and operation
correspond to the Conergy IPG 280K. When designing the fuses
