| loads which are trapped are not pulled free by the crane;
| no persons are carried together with the load or with the load
lifting gear;
| the crane's danger zone is marked out;
| loads are not left hanging on an unmanned crane;
| loads are not transported over the heads of other workers.

Responsibilities of the industrial truck driver

The driver must ensure that
| transportation is halted if
| the load cannot be securely held and safely removed due to
the influence of the wind,
| faults occur which endanger operational safety,
| all emergency limit switches and brakes have been tested before
transportation commences;
| that the industrial truck has no faults;
| that fork tines used for picking up are at the same height;
| that lifting chains are equally tensioned;
| that restraint systems are used where available;
| that the industrial truck is loaded in such a way that the driver has
a clear view of the track;
| that the industrial truck is not overloaded;
| that the industrial truck is loaded in such a way that loads cannot
fall off or move out of position;
| that the industrial truck is only driven with the lifting boom
inclined backwards;
| that when travelling on slopes and inclines the load is carried
facing the gradient;
| that persons to give instructions have been posted if the driver
does not have a clear view of the track or the load; that
predetermined hand signals or a radio telephone are used for
communication between driver and instructor(s);
