Special maintenance work

The leak tests must be repeated after having carried out any
repair work and/or after replacing any parts.
Regular maintenance, repair and tests of the X-plore 6300
before use are very important to ensure safe usage of the full
face mask. As such, it is crucial that the test and mainte-
nance intervals are observed.
Replacing the visor
 Undo the screws. Place a flat head screw driver
between the edges of the lens frame and prise apart.
 Remove the support, see "Replacing the mask
connector".
 Remove the old visor from the rubber body.
 Fit in a new visor, first in the upper part and then the
lower part of the rubber body.
The markings on the visor must be lined up with the
seam of the mask body.
 Pull the rubber body above the edge of the visor to the
right and the left.
 Moisten the exterior of the rubber body and the interior
of the lens frame with a solution of soap and water.
 First fit the upper part of the visor in place followed by
the lower part.
 Insert the support.
 Insert and tighten the screw.
Replacing the mask connector
 Remove the inner mask from the groove of the
threaded ring.
 Use a flat head screw driver to
open the clip.
 Remove the clip, the slip ring
and the support.
 Remove the mask connector
from the mask body.
 Insert the speech diaphragm and the inhalation and
exhalation valves in the new mask connector mask and
adjust in such way that the markings on the new mask
connector and those on the mask body are properly
aligned.
 Mount the slip ring and the new clamp. Fit the catch in
such way as to allow maximum adjustment of the
clamp.
 Insert the support between the
clamp and the slip ring, then fit
the lower part of the lens frame
and align.
 Tighten the nose of the clamp
using R 53 239 pliers until the
mask connector is safely joined
to the mask body.
 Insert the inner mask.
Replacing the valve and inner mask discs
 Remove the old valve disc on the inside.
 Insert the pin of the new valve disc into the opening
from the inside, then pull them towards the visor until
the rear section of the pin is visible.

threaded ring.
 Loosen the threaded ring using the R 26 817 wrench.
 Turn the wrench, and insert it carefully in the openings
of the protection grating, being careful not to damage
the diaphragm.
 Turn the speech diaphragm to
loosen and remove it.
 Remove the O-ring from the
mask
connector
using
R 21 519 or 40 54 983 sealing
ring lifter. Test the speech

Replacing the inhalation valve disc

the frame towards the outside.
