Updating your CP 50 software to version 01.20.03
Before you begin
To perform the update, you will need the following:
• The USB Mass Storage device that contains the update utilities.
• The CP 50 you plan to update.
• An AC power cord and outlet to connect the CP 50 to AC power.
Instructions
1. Power down the CP 50 (press and hold the power button for 6 seconds).
2. Connect the CP 50 to AC power.
3. Plug the USB Mass Storage into the CP 50.
4. Power up the CP 50.
The updating utility launches during power-up.The following message appears onscreen:
File system upgrading in progress...
A status message briefly appears onscreen after the first part of the software update is complete:
Rebooting. Do NOT remove USB Mass Storage Device.
5. As instructed, leave the USB Mass Storage in place as the CP 50 reboots.
The updating utility then launches a second time for the second part of the update, and the following
message appears onscreen:
File system upgrading in progress...
A status message appears onscreen after the second part of the software update is complete:
File system upgrading has completed. Remove USB Mass Storage
Device and reboot device.
6. As instructed, remove the USB Mass Storage from the CP 50 and then reboot it.
7. After the CP 50 reboots, enter the desired regional settings.* Touch
the series.
(*Date, Time, and Date/Time Format, Weight, Height, Mains and Electrode labels)
8. Touch the Exit button
Confirm your software version (optional)
After updating the software on your CP 50, navigate to the About screen to confirm the software version
number.
1. Touch the Menu button
2. Touch Settings > System> About.
Verify that the 01.20.03 software version is listed for the CP 50.
