3.3.1.3. RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT, DIODE TEST AND
ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CONTINUITY
1nF
1)
Connect the black test lead to the " COM " socket,
10nF
and the red test lead to the " VΩT+" socket.
2)
Set the dial to the "Ω    ", position, the pre-set
100nF
function is resistance measurement. To change the
function, press SEL button to select the diode test or
the continuity of the electrical circuit test.
3)
Press "SEL " button to select the diode test.
4)
Connect the black and red test leads to the cathode

voltage drop from the display. If the probes are
connected to the diode in reverse, the display will
≥7V/ rms
show "OL".

5)
Press "SEL " to select the continuity test of the
Sensitivity
electrical circuit.
6)
Connect the probes to the circuit to be tested. The
acoustic signal will be continuous if the resistance is
≥7V/ rms
less than about 50Ω.
7)
Read the result from the LCD display.
Please note: Make sure that the circuit under test is
not live.
Maximum load: 250 V rms <10 s
3.3.1.4. MEASUREMENT OF ELECTRICAL CAPACITY
Resolution
1)
Connect the black test lead to the " COM " socket,
and the red test lead to the " VΩHT+" socket.
2)
Set the knob to the "CAP" position.
3)
Connect the probes to the item being tested.
1°C
4)
Read the result from the LCD display.

When
testing
reading takes more time before the final indication
of the value (for the 100uF range it will take about 15
seconds).
When testing capacitors with low capacitance (≤
1uF), to ensure measurement accuracy, first press
"REL" and then continue the measurement.
Maximum load: 250 V rms <10 s.
3.3.1.5. FREQUENCY MEASUREMENT
1)
Connect the black test lead to the " COM " socket,
and the red test lead to the " VΩHT+" socket.
2)
Set with the "Hz/Duty" button the selected test: Hz
(frequency) or Duty (duty cycle).
3)
Connect the probes to the source or load to be
measured.
4)
Read the result from the LCD display.
3.3.1.6. TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
1)
Connect the black test lead to the " T-" socket and
the red test lead to the " VΩT+" terminal.
2)
Turn the dial to °C/ °F
3)
Connect the probe to the selected temperature
measurement location.
4)
Read the result from the LCD display.
Maximum load: 250 V rms <10 s
A.
The temperature function indicates a random
number. In order to take a measurement, place the
thermocouple at the measuring point
B.
Do not replace the thermocouple with a different
one.
C.
High temperatures should be measured using
a probe designed to test high temperatures.
3.3.1.7. DC / AC MEASUREMENT
1)
Turn the dial to "40A
2)
Select the DC or AC test with the SEL button.
DC test: with the "REL" button, set "0" on the display.
If "0" does not appear after pressing "REL", do the
following:
open the clamp jaws several times;
if "OL" is displayed during DCA measurement, turn
the terminal direction and measure again. To ensure
the reliability of the measurement, select the "400A"
range when the DCA of the object exceeds 35A.
3)
Open the measuring clamp by pressing its opening
button. Insert the wire to be measured through the
open clamp jaws.
4)
Close the clamp and read the result from the LCD
display.
Please note:
For safety reasons, before carrying out the
measurement, disconnect the test leads and probes
from the device.
When measuring the current via the measuring
terminal, hold the cable in the middle of the jaws for
more accurate test results.
If the reading is difficult, press D.HOLD to hold the
reading on the screen and read the result.
3.3.1.8. RELATIVE MEASUREMENT
Press "REL" to measure the relative value. "REL" will
appear on the display.
The automatic range mode will change to the
manual range mode. Press again to return to the
previous state. "REL" will disappear, but you can not

return to the automatic range measurement mode.•
The relative value can not be measured in the "Hz"

mode.

3.3.2. DIRECTIONS FOR USE

If the indication range is exceeded, the message "OL"
will be displayed.
The device turns off automatically after 15 minutes
of inactivity. Press SEL button to deactivate the
device automatic shutdown.

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
b)
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
c)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
d)
Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge
it in water.
e)
The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical efficiency and spot any damage.
f)
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
g)
Do not leave the battery in the device if it will not be
used for a longer period of time.
h)
Protect the device against moisture. If it is wet, wipe
it dry immediately. Liquids may contain minerals
which can corrode electronic circuits.
i)
Use and store the device in standard temperature
conditions. Extreme temperatures can shorten the
life of the device, damage the batteries and deform
or melt plastic parts.
j)
Handle the device with care. Dropping it may damage
printed circuit boards and cause malfunctioning.
k)
Protect the device from dust and dirt.
l)
Use only new batteries of the size and type indicated
in the technical specifications. Before installing or
replacing the batteries, make sure that the device is
~
