Connecting the product and selecting unit settings
IMPORTANT! The bacteriological membrane filter (Art. No.
20132-059) must be installed at the argon receptacle of the APC
unit. It protects the patient and the unit from the entry of bacte-
ria and liquids.
The connecting cable consists of two connectors that are con-
nected to the APC unit as follows:
• Insert the HF connector into the multifunction receptacle.
The connector must click into place audibly.
• Screw the argon gas connection to the membrane filter on
the argon gas receptacle
To operate the probe always use the recommended settings in
"Maximum electrical capacity and unit setting." Parameters that
are not listed there are automatically set by the unit and the op-
erator can only change them manually within a fixed range.

Conduct ignition test
Check whether the plasma ignites upon first activation (see
chapter "Ignition test").

In case of endoscopic use: Endoscope selection
Select an endoscope with a working channel that has the match-
ing diameter. To find the working channel diameter necessary
for your APC probe please refer to the chapter "Maximum elec-
trical capacity and unit setting".
