− Extension cables and power distributors (e.g. outlet strips) must be suitable for outdoor use.
− Ensure that the power connection cable cross section is not smaller than that of the rubber sheath with the
identification H05RN-F. Extension cables must meet DIN VDE 0620.
− Protect the plug connections from moisture.
− Only plug the unit into a correctly fitted socket.
Safe operation
− Never operate the unit if either the electrical cables or the housing are defective!
− Do not carry or pull the unit by its electrical cable.
− Route all cables such that damage is excluded and nobody can trip over them.
− Never open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly required in the operating
instructions.
− Only use original spare parts and accessories for the unit.
− Never carry out technical modifications to the unit.
− Only have repairs carried out by customer service points authorised by OASE.
− The power connection cables cannot be replaced. When the cable is damaged, the unit or the component needs to
be disposed of.
− Only operate the unit if no persons are in the water!
− Keep the socket and power plug dry.
Important! The unit is equipped with a permanent magnet. The magnetic field may affect the function of pace-
makers.

Installation / Assembly

Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.
Protective measures: Never run the pump in swimming ponds. Install the pump at a dry place. The pump
can also be operated at swimming ponds at a distance of 2 m minimum from the water (A).
Installation variants
− Figure B: Pump operation in the pond in the filter housing and with connected return flow system (1) at the pump
outlet.
− Figure C: Pump operation outside of the pond with connected satellite filter or skimmer (2) at the pump inlet and
return flow system (1) at the pump outlet.
Note: Place the pump horizontally and securely on a firm ground.
Preparatory work
Shorten and deburr the stepped hose adaptors such that the adaptor diameter is identical to that of the hose diameter
used (D).
Assembly of Aquamax 2000:
Operation in the pond (D, F): Screw the stepped hose adapter (7) with the seal (6) on the pump outlet (4). Push the
hose (9) on the stepped hose adapter (7) and secure with a hose clip (8).
Assembly of Aquamax Eco 3500, 5500, 8500:
Operation in the pond (D-F): Screw the connection piece (23) with seal (22) on the pump outlet (21). Screw the
stepped hose adapter (25) with union nut (26) and seal (24) on the connection piece (23). Turn the stepped hose
adaptor (25) to the desired position (E) prior to tightening the union nut (26). Push the hose (9) on the stepped hose
adapter (25) and secure with a hose clip (8).
Operation out of the pond (G-J): Disengage the clip (29), press in the engagement hooks (28) one after the other,
then remove the strainer top casing (27). Remove the pump (30). Screw the connection piece (23) with seal (22) on the
pump outlet (21). Screw the stepped hose adapter (25) with union nut (26) and seal (24) on the connection piece (23).
Turn the stepped hose adaptor (25) to the desired position prior to tightening the union nut (26). Screw the second
stepped hose adapter (33) with union nut (34) and seal (32) onto the pump inlet (31). Push each of the hoses (9, 14)
on the stepped hose adapter s (25, 33) and secure each with a hose clip (8).
Install the unit so that it is not exposed to direct sun radiation (max. 40 ºC).
