For Conductivity, the following additional options may be selected:
– USP (% safety margin below U.S. Pharmacopoeia limits)
– EP PW (% safety margin below European Pharmacopeia limits for Purified Water)
– EPWFI (%safety margin below European Pharmacopeia limits for Water for Injection)
– JP Cond (% safety margin below Japanese Pharmacopoeia limits)
UV Lamp
Once flow has been established, the 6000TOCi is ready to begin taking TOC measure-
ments. If sensor activation is desired at this time, set the UV Lamp to On. Allow appro-
ximately one minute for readings to begin. Additional time (approximately 4-24 hours)
may be necessary for the readings to stabilize as the sample line rinses clean, and the
TOC sensor reaches thermal stability.
Auto Start
The 6000TOCi sensor can be configured such that the UV lamp will automatically turn
on after recovering from a power loss or fault condition. If automatic recovery is desired,
set the Auto Start option to 'ON'. Auto Start can be configured in
Configure (C), c measurement c parameter setting
It is recommended that Auto Start be set to 'ON'. The default setting is 'OFF'.
Set Points
On page 2 of the guided setup menu, a set point can
be configured for that measurement. Once the Set Point
option is set to Yes, then select the set point type you wish
to activate. If Off is selected, the set point will be disabled.
Once a set point type is selected, the necessary parame-
ters for that set point can also be configured.
The following set point types can be selected:
– High (High value has to be set)
– Low (Low value has to be set)
– Between (High and Low value has to be set)
– Outside (High and Low value has to be set)
After setting the set point value(s) a Relay can be selected
from the relays available on the transmitter, and configu-
red for that set point. The Relay delay is set to 10 seconds
and the Hysteresis is set to 5%. These parameters can
be configured from the Setpoints menu.
