• Lower saw arm towards processed material.
• Make a cut.
STOPPING THE MITRE SAW
• Release pressure on the switch button (12) and wait until the
cutting blade stops completely.
• Lift the saw arm to move it away from the processed material.
Remember that rotating parts of the saw rotate for some time
after the tool has been switched off. Do not stop cutting blade by
applying side pressure.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE OF THE MITRE SAW
Properly fixed processed material ensure full control over tool
operation. This allows to avoid risk of body injury. Do not try to
hold short pieces of material with your hand!
• Ensure the cutting blade is in good technical condition. Mitre saw
efficiency and quality of cut depend on condition of cutting blade.
• Do not use blunt blades.
• Use cutting blades allowed for given type of the mitre saw only.
• To get the best results make a cut with slow, smooth move.
• Do not use the mitre saw for cutting metal or ceramics.
• Do not use grinding discs.
• Always press the material hardly to the fence.
• To prevent tears on lower cutting edge place piece of waste material
under the processed material and cut both pieces at a time.
• To get familiar with using the mitre saw make several cuts using
waste pieces of material.
• When cutting angles change from one cut to another, prior to
switching the mitre saw again ensure the work table locking knob
and head locking knobs are tightened.
• Angular scales are accurate enough for most of performed tasks, it
is however recommended to double-check the cutting angles with
protractor or other device for angle measurements.
Do not apply excessive force on cutting blade. Work is performed
better and safer when the mitre saw works with its own specific
rate.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

Unplug the power cord from the mains socket before commencing
any activities related to installation, adjustment, repair or
maintenance.
CUTTING BLADE REPLACEMENT
• Pull the head locking pin (15) to unlock the saw arm.
• Allow smooth return of the saw arm to upper position.
• Press and hold the movable shield locking lever (11).
• Take the movable shield (4) up to access the cutting blade (5) fixing
screw.
• Press and hold the spindle lock lever (20) (turning the cutting blade
may be necessary to lock the spindle).
• Use the included spanner to unscrew the cutting blade (2) fixing
screw. Turn clockwise (left-hand thread!) (fig. K).
• Release the spindle lock lever (20) and remove screw that fixes
cutting blade and outer collar.
• Clean all parts to be installed prior to installation.
• Put new cutting blade onto the inner collar.
• Place new cutting blade so blade teeth and arrow on the blade
match direction of the arrow on the stationary shield (1).
• Put the outer collar on, press and hold spindle locking lever and
tighten the cutting blade fixing screw counter-clockwise.
• Release the movable shield (4) to its default position (the shield
must fully cover the cutting blade).
• Ensure the movable shield (4) is in correct position and moves freely
when lifting or lowering the saw arm.
Never attempt to modify the motor spindle to adjust it for
operation with cutting blades of different sizes, never remove any
of the guards.
The motor spindle is flattened in two places, that match shape of
the outer flange for fixing cutting blade. Install the outer flange so
it is properly seated on the motor spindle.
When installing cutting blade observe correct direction of the
teeth. Arrow on the saw body shows direction of spindle rotation.
Once the cutting blade is installed, rotate it manually to ensure it
is free to move.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT IN LASER UNIT
Laser assembly is powered with two AAA batteries, 1.5 V.
• Push and lift battery compartment lid (25) (fig. L).
• Remove empty batteries.
• Insert new batteries. Observe polarity.
• Install battery compartment lid.
CLEANING
• When the work is finished, remove thoroughly all pieces of material,
scobs and dust from the work table area, area around cutting blade
and its shields.
• Ensure the ventilation holes of the motor casing are pervious, there
are no scobs or dust.
• Keep clean all handles and knobs.
REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES
Replace immediately worn out (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or cracked
motor carbon brushes. Always replace both brushes at a time.
• Unscrew and remove carbon brush covers (14).
• Remove used brushes.
• Remove any carbon dust with compressed air.
• Insert new carbon brushes (brushes should easily move into brush-
holders).
• Fix carbon brush covers (14).
After the brushes are replaced start the mitre saw with no load
and wait until the brushes fit to the motor commutator. It is
recommended to entrust replacement of carbon brushes only to a
qualified person. Only original parts should be used.
All faults should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the
manufacturer.
