The ratchet function can be disengaged by removing the ratchet, see figure
3(B). In that case the cable must first be completely recoiled.
Thermal overload protector
The cable reel is equipped with a thermal overload protector which means
that the power will disconnect automatically if the reel should be overloaded.
If the overload protector cuts out:
1.
Disconnect any products connected to the cable reel.
2.
Let the cable reel get cool.
3.
Push the reset button(X), figure 3(C).
4.
The cable reel is again ready for use.
Adjustment of spring tension
The reel has factory set full spring tension which must not be increased
further. In case of service or cable change it could, however, be necessary to
adjust the spring tension.
Increasing the spring tension
1. Make sure that the cable is in place and fully recoiled on the reel.
2. Use a tommy bar and turn in the direction of the arrow (+) as shown in
figure 2(C).
3. Tension the spring one revolution at a time and test the coiling operation
gradually.
NOTE! Do not tension the spring more than is needed to exactly roll the
cable to its position of rest. Check that the cable can be fully uncoiled without
stretching the spring to its maximum. If not, decrease the spring tension.
Decreasing the spring tension
1. Make sure that the cable is in place and fully recoiled on the reel.
2. Use a tommy bar and turn in the direction of the arrow (-) as shown in the
figure 2(D).
Maintenance
CAUTION!
Risk of equipment damage.
Use only Nederman original spare parts and accessories.
Is recommended to be accomplished regularly or at least once a year.
•
Check that the cable is intact. Clean the cable if it is oiled or dirty.
•
Check the spring function by testing if the cable recoils properly. Adjust if
necessary.
•
Check the reels ratchet mechanism.
•
Check the mounting of the reel on wall or ceiling.
