Lifting
DANGER: The lifting operations must be performed under the direct supervision of a
qualified mechanical maintenance worker.
CAUTION: Throughout all of these operations, follow the precautions necessary to
avoid collisions (especially with the plastic grilles on the fans) and tipping over,
handling the partly completed machinery in such a way as to avoid any loss of
balance.
DANGER: Make sure there are is no unauthorized personnel near the area where the
lifting, handling, and unloading operations are taking place, and always keep at a
safety distance.
Lifting the partly completed machinery for handling purposes and subsequent positioning can be
carried with the use of lifting straps as shown in the figure. The straps must be inserted in the feet of
the frame, as shown in the figure.
To perform the lifting operations properly, follow the precautions shown below:
Never use two lifting devices at the same time.
Do not stand or transit beneath suspended loads.
If steel ropes are used, always fit a terminal eyelet to attach the lifting hook.
If steel ropes are used, be careful not to form acute bends, i.e. with a curvature radius
smaller than the one of the eyelets of the rope ends.
Use ropes that have an adequate length, so that the angle between the ropes and the
horizon is always greater than 45°.
