2.) Check before climbing
Make sure that there is enough rope for lead-in and, if necessary,
an emergency lowering (2x height of mast + horizontal course + 2m
safety rope length = rope length).
To check the function of the Lory belay device, lock the cam (CAM)
manually by pushing it (Fig. 1). It must now be possible to pull the
rope with little resistance in both directions (Fig. 2). Then pull the
rope with a jerk. The cam must unlock and the rope must block
(picture 3).
Attention!
If the described function is not guaranteed, the set must not be
used and must be sent in for inspection.
