Cleaning, Maintenance, and Disposal
Warning

To minimize the risk of infection, clean the footswitch prior to the first use and after
every subsequent use�
•
To avoid electric shock and potentially fatal injury, disconnect the footswitch from
the pump before cleaning�
Caution
To prevent product damage:
•
do not disassemble the footswitch,
•
do not use corrosive cleaning solutions to clean the footswitch,
•
do not sterilize the footswitch�
Cleaning

Disconnect the footswitch from the pump�
2�
Wipe the outside of the footswitch with a mild detergent and water according to standard
hospital practices�
3�
Dry the footswitch with a lint-free cloth�
4�
Visibly inspect the footswitch to ensure it is clean� If necessary, repeat steps 2–4�
5�
Ensure no liquid is present between connections prior to reconnecting the footswitch to the
pump�
Preventive Maintenance
The footswitch requires no routine maintenance� To store or ship the footswitch, package it in its
original packaging�
Expected Life
The footswitch has an expected life of three years� Dispose of the footswitch according to the
"Disposal" section in this manual�
Disposal
This product contains electrical waste or electronic equipment� It must not be
disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and must be collected separately in
accordance with applicable national or institutional related policies relating to
obsolete electronic equipment�
