Kit Purpose

The two wire sender included in the kit replaces earlier senders which had three wires. The instructions explain
the differences in the connection of the wires. All other installation steps are the same as listed in the Workshop
Manuals.
NOTE! If the unit has an electronic trim limit device, do not use this kit. The replacement part for the trim sender
is 3849413.
Affected Models
This kit applies to all transom shields with specification numbers between 3868036–3869344.

1. Remove trim sender from transom shield accord-
ing to workshop manual. Save three wire Amphe-
nol connector removed from sender wires.
2. Install new sender on transom shield, follow steps
in workshop manual. Stop at section where
connector is re-installed on sender wires. Use
these instructions to attach connector to sender
wire.
