Visco-elastic heel cushions
Purpose:
The Elastocalx heel cushions are manufactured using highly ela-
stic silicone and provide optimum shock absorption for ankle and
knee joints, hip and spinal column. Elastocalx alleviates stress on
the joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons. The heel cushions may
only be used for foot treatment. The different models each have
specific modes of action.
Indications/Specific modes of action:
Elastocalx N (47980)
Osteoarthritis of the ankle, knee and hip joints, degenerative
spinal diseases.
Relief after ankle, knee and hip joint operations, irritations of the
Achilles tendon, myotendopathies (long-term, recurrent pain),
strain syndromes, differences in leg length, scoliotic pelvis.
Elastocalx S/P (47981)
For the correction of supination (raised inside margin of the foot)
or pronation (drop in the inside margin of the foot) in the foot and
in cases of valgus or varus deformity of the heel (knock-kneed or
bow-legged).
Elastocalx Plus (47982)
Relief from heel spur (bony spur formation under the heel)
pressure by means of a particularly soft silicone insert in the area
of the heel spur.
Elastocalx Flex (47991)
Relief from heel spur (bony spur formation under the heel)
pressure by means of an open, honeycomb construction
covering a large area in the region of the heel spur.
Contraindications/Side effects:
Larger skin lesions or diseases in the heel area.
No side effects are as yet known when applied and worn as
intended.
Precautions/other advice:
Do not bring into contact with open wounds. Follow the advice
of the professional who prescribed or supplied the product.
