Horizontal Center (H-CENTER)
G2 (cut off) adjustment
The picture tube and the contrast screen must be cleaned after geometry
adjustment.
Preparations before geometry checking and adjustment
1. Dismount the Contrast screen and holder for the Contrast screen.
2. Cover the auto contrast.
3. Turn TV on.
4. TV must warm up for minimum 5 min before adjustment may be performed.
5. Select the correct test picture.
6. Set TV in correct FORMAT
Adjustment procedure
1. Horizontal center adjustment.
2. G2 adjustment.
3. Focus adjustment.
4. 4:3 adjustment.
5. 16:9 adjustment.
Finishing procedure
1. Clean the picture tube.
2. Clean the contrast screen.
3. Remount the contrast screen.
TV mode V.TAPE
Format 4 :3, FORMAT 1
Test picture Black (no V.TAPE connected)
Picture – Brilliance 32, Colour 32, Contrast 32
Place the chassis in service position. See 9.3.
Adjust the SCREEN potentiometer until the background is clearly lit up. See page
10.2 illustration ➢3
Reduce H-AM until the picture is smaller than the phospher frame, app. 10 mm on
each side. See illu
Enter Service menu and select Geometry adjustment – H-AM.
Make a note of the value for H-AM.
Select H-CENTER and adjust the picture to the best center position .
If the picture cannot be adjusted to the left of the center position, set the H-
CENTER to 0.
Increase H-AM to the previous noted value.

Test picture Black (no V.TAPE connected)
