#7 Check after replacement of main chassis or modules

Check that the surfaces of the TV are clean, if not they should be cleaned
Check after replacement of main chassis or modules, English
- Remove the alligator clip from the aerial input on the main chassis.
- The back cover can now be mounted. Fasten the screws (Please see 9.1 Service
mode 1).
- Place the TV in its original stand and place and connect all the cables.
Check the antenna terminals and other exposed metal parts for AC leakage.
- Remove the line cable from the AC source (the wall outlet).
- Place a jumper across the two AC plug prongs.
- Use a multi-meter, set for measurements in the Ohm-area.
- Place one lead from the multi-meter on the AC plug and place the other lead on
each of the exposed metal parts, that is antenna connections and other exposed
metal parts on the rear panel of the BeoVision MX 4200.
- The resistance during these measurements must be of 1 Mega Ohm or more. If
resistance is below 1 Mega Ohm, this indicates an abnormal situation and
corrective actions must be taken.
Please note: Avoid any skin contact either with the AC plug nor the metal parts
while performing the test, as it may infl uence the measurement.
- Check that picture on all internal and external sources works correctly.
- Check if teletext works correctly.
- Check geometry of both format 4:3 and format 16:9. Adjust if neccesary.
- Check that sound on all sources works correctly. Remember STB and
videotaperecorder, if these are present.
- If a videotaperecorder is connected to the TV, check whether the record and
playback functions work correctly.
- If the TV is mounted with a motor stand, this should be calibrated. Enter SETUP,
select SERVICEMODE with 0, 0, GO. Press the button combination within 3
seconds. Select STAND with GO. Press GO to calibrate the television. When done
and CALIBRATION OK is displayed, press GO to exit. Then check if the stand works
correctly.
