7.

and press it firmly against the sanding plate.
Start a test run to check for imbalance and vibrations.
Operation
 Observe the mains voltage! The voltage of
the power source must correspond with the data on
the type plate of the machine.
Press the On/Off switch 3 to switch the machine on.
The LED indicator 2 flashes green.
Set the desired speed with buttons 5 or 4. Press button
4 to increase the speed and button 5 to decrease
speed.
The sander has four preset speeds (see Tool Specifica-
tions). The set speed can be changed at any time once
the machine is switched on.
Press lever 1 to start the machine. The speed of the
switched-on machine can be regulated infinitely varia-
ble, depending on how far you press through lever 1.
Release lever 1 to stop the machine.

Overload protection

The sander is equipped with overload protection. It
monitors the preset speed and keeps it constant. If the
operator applies excessive pressure to the machine,
the LED flashes red and the motor speed will slow
down. The applied pressure should not exceed 5 kg.
When the pressure is not reduced, the LED lights up red
and the motor stops. To start the sander again, release
lever 1 and then press it again. Repeated overloading
leads to frequent motor stops and increases the
machine's temperature.

Temperature monitoring

The sander is equipped with temperature monitoring. If
the temperature is too high, the sander switches off. It
cannot be started again until the temperature has
reached a normal level. The cool-down period
depends on the local conditions. Wait 5 minutes.
Repeated overheating leads to a longer cool-down
period.
Dust Extraction
Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful
to one's health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can
cause allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory
infections of the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are consid-
ered as carcinogenic, especially in connection with
wood-treatment additives (chromate, wood preserva-
tive). Materials containing asbestos may only be
worked on by specialists.
• Where possible, use a dust extraction system suita-
ble for the material.
• Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
• It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respira-
tor.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials being worked on.
