Fitting
The sender and receiver strips must be mounted such that
the connection plug is pointing in the right direction, e.g. both
pointing upwards. Mounting with the plug pointing in
completely the opposite direction (180° rotation) is not
permitted.
Snap-on clips have been developed in order to ensure a high
degree of flexibility at the mounting site and to allow light
grids to be changed quickly (should this be necessary). These
clips can be screwed directly onto the mounting surface. The
light grids are then simply clipped into place.
Securing against sliding
To prevent the light grid from slipping downwards as a result
of vibration, a screw may also be used to secure the light grid
to the snap-on clip.
The control unit is bolted in place using the fixing holes
provided in the housing.
If the control unit is used without housing (for mounting in a
control panel), the control unit frame is clipped directly onto
the mounting rail.
To improve the EMC conditions, it is recommended to install
the light grid on the machine such that it is electrically
isolated. This can be achieved with the aid of insulating
collared washers.
