Making the Connections
Remove the blanking plugs from the N2 outlet ports and the compressed air inlet port.
Fit the Dowty seals and fittings, supplied with the generator, to the N2 MFC Outlet port and the Compressed Air inlet port.
Fit the 1/8" BSPP Exhaust Silencer to the N2 Outlet port.
Fit the tubes to the port fittings. Insert the tube into the fitting and tighten the tube nut until finger tight. Using a spanner (wrench) tighten
the nut one and one-quarter (11»4) turns.
Connect the Mist–X exhaust to the drain port of the generator. The silencer should be placed within a container to safely contain the mist,
and positioned to allow unrestricted access for inspection. Ensure that the container is emptied on a regular basis, failure to do so could
result in the Mist-X to becoming submerged and cause back pressure on the drain.

3.1.3 Remote Switching and MODBUS Interface

The generator can be remotely controlled from either an external digital input (e.g. PLC) or via a MODBUS connection in a SCADA system or
similar. Refer to "Customer Configuration" on page 14 of this guide for details on how to enable the remote switching function. Once the remote
switching function has been enabled the local start control will no longer function, however it will initiate Standby.
Wiring the connector
The connector supplied with the generator will accept 7-9mm cable, wire size 0.5-2.5mm
Screened cable is recommended when connecting to MODBUS.
Strip 22mm of insulation from the cable, and strip 4mm from each wire.
Use the sealing cap to remove the locking ring and withdraw the plug insert.
Remove the gland nut, gland cage, and gland from the main body and slide them over the cable.
Slide the cable into the main body and connect the wires to the plug insert as detailed.
Gently pull the cable backwards so that the plug insert is located in the locking cap.
Fit the locking ring and secure it in place using the sealing cap.
Push the gland, gland cage and gland nut into the main body and tighten the nut.

3.1.4 Connecting the Electrical Supply

Check the rating plate for the correct supply voltage and frequency. Connect the electrical power cable, supplied with the generator, to the
IEC320 socket. Connect the plug directly to the electrical supply, do not use an extension cord.
