Before any adjustment work or mounting
of accessories, pull the mains plug from
the socket outlet. Otherwise, the saw can acci-
dentally start and lead to serious injuries.
Use only sharp and perfectly working saw blades;
replace cracked or bent saw blades immediately.
Keep the saw blades sharp. As a general rule, only
Würth saw blades should be used.
Do not use cutting discs.
When mounting the saw blade, observe the cutting
direction.
Make sure that all fixtures covering the saw blade
operate properly.
Release a jammed saw blade cover/guard immedi-
ately. Never operate the machine with a jammed or
blocked saw blade cover/guard. Never block the
saw blade cover/guard.
For Your Safety
Working safely with this machine
is possible only when the operat-
ing and safety information are
read completely and the instruc-
tions contained therein are strictly
followed.
Never use this saw for cutting work-
pieces that are too small to be securely
held. Workpieces that are too small are torn in by
the saw, and can lead to serious injuries.
Make preparations for your work. Sup-
port workpieces that are wider or longer
than the saw table surface using suitable
accessories such as tables, saw benches
or saw table extensions. Workpieces that are
longer or wider than the saw table can tilt or tip
over, when not securely clamped. When the work-
piece or the cut-off workpiece end tilts or tips over,
it can push the blade guard up or be caught by the
rotating saw blade and thrown from the machine.
Check your workpiece before sawing. If
the workpiece is bent or warped, clamp it
with the side bent outward facing against
the stop of the saw table. Always make
sure that no clearance develops along-
side the cutting line between workpiece,
stop and saw table. Bent or warped work-
pieces can twist or be thrown about and jam the
rotating saw blade during the sawing.
Prepare the sawing of irregularly shaped
workpieces in such a manner that the
workpiece cannot move or slip, the saw
blade cannot jam and the workpiece can-
not be drawn out of your hand. For exam-
ple, a moulding strip must face flat against the saw
table or be secured by a fixture, so that it cannot
twist, slip or be thrown about during sawing.
