6. Analyzing Data: The Micro740 will analyze all readings to
provide the results of the charging system test:

CHARGING
The system is showing normal output from the

A problem was detected in the charging system.
CHARGING
The possible causes are listed below. (Refer to

the vehicle's service manual for general alternator

No Charging Voltage
The alternator is not providing charging current to
the battery.
Low Charging Voltage
The alternator is not providing sufficient current to
charge the battery and for the system's electrical
loads.
High Charging Voltage
The voltage output from the alternator to the bat-
tery exceeds the normal limits of a functioning
regulator.
