Important safety instructions
■
Before the appliance is used, the main unit
as well as any attachments fitted should be
checked thoroughly for any defects. If the
appliance, for instance, has been dropped
onto a hard surface, it must not be used
any longer. Even invisible damage may
have adverse effects on its operational
safety.
■
Batteries are not to be
- recharged (nor should any attempt be
made to reactivate them),
- dismantled,
- disposed of by burning,
- short-circuited.
■
Caution: The shaping head and the blade
unit of the shaving head are extremely
sharp. To prevent injuries, take special care
when taking off the head; ensure at all
times that the blade does not touch the skin
during use.
■
For safety reasons, the batteries should be
removed before cleaning the appliance.
This will prevent accidental operation that
may cause cuts and bruises or possible
damage to the appliance itself.
■
All batteries should be replaced at the same
time. Do not use different battery types or
brands or batteries with different capacities.
■
This appliance is not intended for use by
any persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lacking experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning the
use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
■
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
■
Caution: Keep any packaging materials
well away from children: there is a risk of
suffocation.
■
No responsibility is accepted if damage
results from improper use, or if these
instructions are not complied with.
■
This appliance is intended for domestic use
only and not for commercial applications.
■
In order to comply with safety regulations
and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical
appliances must be carried out by qualified
personnel. If repairs are needed, please
send the appliance to one of our customer
service departments. The address can be
found in the appendix to this manual.
Batteries
- The unit is designed for use with two standard
'AAA'-type 1.5V batteries, preferably alkaline,
as they have a longer life than the carbon-
zinc type. With rechargeable batteries, which
have a lower nominal operating voltage, the
unit will operate at a slightly reduced speed.
- Insert the batteries as follows:
- pull the ribbed locking tab away from the
unit and take off the battery compartment
cover
- insert new batteries ensuring correct
polarity (+/-, see diagram inside the
compartment)
- replace the cover, pushing it firmly down
until it is heard to lock into place.
- A decrease in the operating speed indicates
that the batteries need to be replaced.

Never dispose of old batteries in your
domestic garbage. Old batteries must be
