◆ The coolant water must be clean and free from contamination. Distilled water or
deionized water is preferred.
◆ Antifreeze must be added to the coolant where there is any possibility of
freezing to protect the engine from damage due to coolant freezing. We
recommends a 1:1 mixture of water and glycol.

4. MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLE SHOOTING

◆ Proper maintenance and service are very important to the reliable operation of
your generator set and the safety of anyone who operate the generator.
◆ These service activities aim at maximization life of the generator, but shall not
vary, extend or change the terms of the manufacture's standard warranty or your
obligations in the warranty.
◆ Each service interval is only a guide, and developed on the basis that the
generator set was installed and is operated in accordance with the
manufacturer's guidelines. If the environmental conditions of the generator set's
installation and operation are adverse or abnormal, it needs more frequent
service intervals. The generator set should be continually monitored between
services to identify any potential failure modes, signs of misuse, or excessive
wear and tear.
◆ Control and maintenance works indicated in the periodical maintenance schedule
must be carried out completely and timely. The failures due to incomplete and
timely maintenance are not cover by the warranty.
4.1 Recommended Maintenance Schedule of Engine
The Maintenance Interval Schedule of the engine shows the recommended
service modes and activities in table row, grouped by the engine subsystem. The
service frequency is given in running hours or time interval, whichever is sooner. A tick
(√) in the cells where a row intersects the columns shows when the service is
required.
