Prepare the Site (cont.)
Secure a pipe nipple to each elbow, maintaining 5-7/8" (14.9 cm)
distance between the nipple centerlines.
Confirm the Rough-in Plumbing
Temporarily thread an escutcheon onto each pipe nipple until
they are in a position that will be flush with the planned finished
wall.
Slide the faucet assembly onto the pipe nipples.
Verify the valve assembly is properly aligned and level. If
necessary, make adjustments by repositioning the elbows or by
offsetting the pipe nipples.
NOTICE: If a pipe nipple needs to be loosened for proper
alignment, be sure to remove the nipple, apply sealant tape and
reinstall to the desired location to avoid leakage.
Remove the valve assembly and escutcheons.
Site Checkout
Flush the water lines.
Cap the pipe nipples (or temporarily install the valve) and check
for leaks at the connections.
Complete the finished wall.
