Troubleshooting
If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to remedy the problem by
yourself, please contact Hilti Service.
Trouble or fault
The content of the gas can is
inadequate for the number of
fasteners in the package.
The fastener guide hasn't
fully extended after driving
a fastener.
No fastener is driven.
Concrete application only:
Fastener does not penetrate
deeply enough into the mate-
rial.

Possible cause
High gas consumption due to fre-
quent compression of the tool
nosepiece without driving a fas-
tener.
Foreign matter or debris has
jammed in the fastener guide.
Fastener guide is worn.
The battery is discharged
Empty gas can
LED 1 lights red
Incorrect piston position due to
lifting the tool away too soon after
driving the fastener.
Incorrect piston position due to
foreign-matter build-up
Foreign object in the area of the
fastener guide.
Electronic fault.
The system is unsuitable. The sup-
porting material is too hard.
Drive energy too low.

Action to be taken
▶ Avoid compressing the tool
nosepiece without driving a
fastener.
▶ Remove the fastener guide.
▶ Clean the fastener guide.
▶ Remove foreign matter from the
area of the fastener guide.
▶ Replace the fastener guide.
▶ Change the battery or charge
the empty battery.
▶ Check the status of the gas can.

▶ Keep the tool pressed against
the surface for longer.
▶ Clean the fastening tool.
▶ Remove foreign objects from
the area of the fastener guide.
▶ Remove the gas can and then
reinsert it.
If the problem
persists, use a new gas can.

reinsert it.
