NOTE: The Water Safety Switch (1E) cannot
detect a clogged water line because it senses
pressure, NOT flow.
•
To start the saw when dry cutting, or when the water is
not under pressure, push the reset button in the center
of the Water Safety cut-off Switch (1E). Once the
Switch is pushed in to reset, water pressure MUST be
present to activate the safety shutdown.
NEVER run the water pump without water
flowing through it.
•
Saw only as deep
conditions require. Sawing excessively deep is wasteful
– avoid it! Step cut in increments of 2 inches (50 mm)
for best results.
•
Saw in a straight line. Mark the cutting line clearly so
the saw operator can follow the line without difficulty.
The saw should NOT be twisted from side to side trying
to force the blade back on the line.

GOVERNOR SPEEDS
•
It is critical that the governor and throttle on all internal
combustion engines be adjusted properly. The engine
speed is preset at the factory for the proper sawing
speed. It is NOT normally necessary to change this
setting. It should be periodically verified after the saw
is placed into service. To change the governor setting,
refer to the engine manual.
Serious injury can occur to the operator or
people in the work area if the rotational speed
(n/min) of the Diamond Blade (2E) exceeds the
maximum speed (n/min) marked on the
Diamond Blade (2E).
To ensure the proper governor adjustment, determine the
correct blade shaft speed from the following chart. Follow
the engine manufacturer's instruction procedure for the
governor and throttle setting.

OPTIONAL AND ACCESSORY ITEMS
ELECTRIC WATER PUMP (OPTIONAL)
An optional Electric Water Pump is available for use on
all gas and diesel engine models.
UNDERSTAND the operating instructions supplied with
the pump (ITT-JABSCO, Model: 18510-Series).
WARNING: To be used to pump WATER ONLY!
DO NOT pump other materials!
•
This pump is NOT SELF-PRIMING, therefore it must
be primed before operation. Sufficient Head Pressure
(water source above the pump inlet) must be maintained
for pump to operate.
•
The water pump ON/OFF switch is located on the top
of the cowl. This switch operates the water pump
whether the engine is ON or OFF.
WARNING: Put the switch in the OFF position
when done, or the water pump will continue to
run until the battery is dead!
WEIGHT KIT (P/N 176125)
•
A weight kit is available as a field installed accessory.
The weight kit bolts to the front of the saw frame using
two (2) bolts, lockwashers, and nuts. Each weight bar
weighs approximately 13 lbs. (.9 kg.). Two weight bars
are supplied with each kit [26 lbs. (11.8 kg.) total
weight]. NOTE: A weight kit may be necessary when
sawing with a Kohler Command or Honda GX620
engine to keep the blade from rising out of the cut.
SPECIAL OUTER FLANGE ASSEMBLY – 5/8" (16mm)
WIDE CUT (P/N 176292)
•
A Special Outer Flange Assembly is available as a field
installed accessory. The special narrow outer flange
allows the operator to stack blades up to 5/8" (16mm)
wide. With the addition of a special narrow nut (Figure
2, Item 84), the operator can stack blades to 15/16"
(23.8mm) wide.
WARNING: This special outer flange assembly
is for use with blade width stacks of 3/8"-5/8"
(10mm-16mm) only!
•
If blade width stacks of less than 3/8" (10mm) are
required, use the standard outer flange assembly
supplied with the EC II. The Special Outer Flange
Assembly can be identified by the COUNTERBORE on
the "nut side" of the flange. The Standard Outer Flange
Assembly has NO COUNTERBORE. The special
narrow nut is for blade stack widths between
5/8"-15/16" (16mm-23.9mm).
WARNING: Failure to use proper flange and
nut configurations WILL result in blade damage.
