3 INSTALLATION
3.1 parent unit
The parent unit is powered by 2 rechargeable batteries which are supplied with the
unit. These batteries should be charged using the power adapter supplied.
1.
Remove the battery compartment cover (Fig. 1).
2.
Insert 2 x AAA rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment
on the parent unit, taking care to observe their polarities (Fig. 2).
3.
Replace the battery compartment cover (Fig. 3).
4.
Connect the output plug of the mains adapter to the DC socket on
the side of the parent unit and connect the mains adapter to the
mains power supply at the wall (Fig. 4).

When the battery icon in the LCD display is lit steadily, the batteries are
fully charged (
NOTE:
If no batteries are inserted into the parent unit, the unit can still be powered by con-
necting the device to the mains power supply.
Please always use the correct type of batteries: NiMh AAA 1.2 Volts max. 750mAh.
