Baby unit
If alkaline batteries are installed, the baby unit will function for approx.
24 hours without the power adapter.
4.7 maintenance
Never use chemical agents to clean the unit. The unit may only be cleaned
with a damp cloth.
Always disconnect the Babyphone from the mains power supply (i.e. remove
the power adapters) before cleaning.
4.8 dispOsing OF tHe deVice respOnsiBly
Empty batteries must never be disposed of in normal household waste, but
must be handed into your local chemical waste recycling centre.
5 USING yOUR BABy MONITOR
Please read these instructions carefully and be aware that this Babyphone is only
intended as an aid. It is not a substitute for responsible, correct parental super-
vision.

The parent unit will start searching for the baby unit when it is turned on.

Once the parent unit finds the baby unit, the connection LED will be lit steadily
(Fig. 11).

If the parent unit cannot find the baby unit within a period of 30 seconds
(because it is not yet switched on, the batteries of the baby unit are empty or
the distance is too large), the text [ NOT LINKED ] will be displayed and an
alert will sound every 10 seconds.

At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product
away with the normal household waste, but rather you must bring the
product to a collection point so that the electrical and electronic parts
can be recycled.
Provided the parent unit is off, press and hold <POWER> for
approx. 2 seconds to switch the unit ON (Fig. 10).
