5. Installing

Select the equipment location first:
- Near a proper socket (see features plate).
- Free of: moisture, dust, dirtiness, direct sunlight and vibrations.
- Please leave a minimum free space of 50 cm around the equipment to work .
- Level the equipment with the equipment behind level and the adjustable legs. It must
be adjusted till the level bubble is inside the circle.

6. Operation

Start the equipment by switching it on (the switch is in the rear part).
It will indicate equipment version and model and the language selected. After a few
seconds, the initial menu will disappear and the AUTOTEST menu will appear.
The auto-test carries out a verification of the viscosimeter operation.
Figure 6.1 initial menu will appear.
IMPORTANT: You must do the auto-test without a spindle.
Dismantle the spindle (if it is assembled) and press ENTER to start the auto-test
process.
During the test execution, the message «TESTING» will be shown on the display.
- If the instrument detects an anomaly, an anomaly message will be shown. If this
happens, contact the technical service. To get the technical service data, press
<ENTER> and they will be shown on the screen.
The equipment then is blocked.
- If the testing is correct, the main menu will appear.

6.1 Menus system

To configure one of the options, search by using the keys
With the «QUIT» key you can cancel the selection made.
The user must select language, time and units before beginning working with the
equipment, in order to have a correct operation.
Press «QUIT» to return to the main menu.

6.2 Setup menu

Set up date and time, in a similar way.
