– Check correct alignment between motor shaft
and the keyed-on rotating parts. In any event,
make sure that these parts are statically and dy-
namically balanced (according to ISO1940-1), to

– Remember that in-factory balancing is done with
an entire key.
– When the shaft is connected to a joint, make sure
that the misalignment does not cause static and/
or dynamic imbalance.
– Make sure that the applied radial and axial loads
are within the limits specified in the catalogue.
– After electrical connection (see....) or on a provi-
sional connection, check rotation direction with
the shaft not mechanically engaged. The rotation
direction of the motors can be modified for the
single-phase version, by positioning the jumpers
according to the indications of the connection lay-
out supplied with the terminal board (see item
IT
"Standard supply parts") and also shown in the
catalogue. For the 3-phase version, reverse the
cyclic direction of the phases.
GB
– In all non-special motors, rotation direction is in
relation to the electrical connection according to
DE
EN60034-8, where the CEG production standard
is clock-wise motion. In any case, it should be
empirically verified according to the specific ap-
FR
plication and the installation configuration.
– In the final operating situation, there must be suf-
ES
ficient free space around the fan to allow good air
intake (see figure 3).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The type of power supply to the motor (three-phase/sin-
gle-phase) is indicated on the data-plate. Connection
should be made to the terminal box strictly with a cable
(not with single conductors) equipped as follows:
– Copper diameter adequate for the maximum speci-
fied current. This diameter can be obtained from the
information on the data-plate and in the catalogue.
The thrust current is indicated in the catalogue. For
