2.10 Blocking mode (blocking/unblocking the terminal)

Blocking: if a finger that has not been taught in
is dragged across the sensor 5 times in succes-
sion (red LED lights up), the device enters block-
ing mode. This prevents unauthorised persons
from gaining unhindered access
If the device is in blocking mode, the red LED
flashes. Blocking mode is initially active for a
limited time. After 5 subsequent failed attempts,
the blocking time in each case extends accord-
ingly (blocking intervals: 1 minute, 5 minutes,
30 minutes, 1 hour, then permanently blocked)
Unblocking: Blocking mode can be cancelled
earlier by dragging a taught-in finger (master or
user finger) twice in direct succession across the
sensor
