Standard installation of the device

To install the device, follow these steps:
1. Connecting the patient circuit
a. If the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™ device is equipped with an integrated
humidifier, once the water chamber is filled, connect one end of the patient circuit
to the outlet connector located on the water chamber of the humidifier, as shown
in Figure 13a.
b. If the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™ is not equipped with an integrated
humidifier, connect one end of the patient circuit to the outlet connector located
at the rear of the device, as shown in Figure 13b.
WARNING
Do not block the air intake.
2. Prepare the mask according to the instructions provided in the operating instructions
that came with the mask.

3. Connect the mask to the other end of the patient circuit.
4. Plug the detachable power cord into the power port of the device (Item 6 of Figure 4
on page 7).
WARNING
Before connecting the power cord to the device, make sure that the power cord is
undamaged.
5. Plug the other end of the detachable cord to into the power outlet. The display
illuminates showing the time and date as soon as the connection is made.
6. The device is ready to operate. Refer to "" on page 44.
