3.2.- INSTALLATION LOCATION
The device must be installed in an environment where the temperature outside the cabinet is between
-10ºC and 50ºC, with a maximum humidity of 95% without condensation.
Do not install the device close to a hot spot and keep it out of direct sunlight.
3.2.1.- VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS
Section
"4.6 - THERMAL PROTECTION"
The AFQm IP54 uses a cooling system with an air inlet at the front and an air outlet at the rear of the
unit. Be sure to leave a gap at the back of the cabinet of at least 150 mm. To ensure this, the device
includes spacers at the rear that act as a bumper.
The IP54 rating means that the device is protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any
direction. However, it is important to keep in mind that excessive dust in the environment will saturate
the filters, which will reduce the performance of the device.
In cold conditions, when frost appears on the surface, it is necessary to wait for it to disappear before
opening the door, to avoid damaging the protective seals.

Install the AFQm IP54 in an environment protected from flammable liquids, gases and
corrosive substances and, whenever possible, water and dust.
Make sure there are no power factor correction devices installed in the same mains as
the AFQm IP54.
If there are any compensation devices, these must be detuned in order to avoid inter-
ference between them and the AFQm IP54.
